Company history

The company was started in the early 1970’s by David Hodson Snr. and his wife Kate, since then there have been many disease challenges to the poultry industry throughout each decade.

1972

Rosehill Poultry | History

Rosehill Agriculture was founded

Founded by David Hodson who is still part of the Rosehill team today. David Hodson Snr. - Winner of the lifetime achievement award from The British Free Range Egg Producer's Association in 2016 "The lifetime achievement award went to David Hodson of Rosehill Agricultural Trading Company, who was inspirational in the development of vaccine auditing and at the forefront of development of the first live salmonella vaccine to be licensed in the UK in 2001. Mr Hodson, who has worked in the vaccine auditing arena for the past 46 years, was praised for his expertise. “He undoubtedly helped to ease the catastrophic effects of poultry diseases to the industry, especially in the dark days of [Newcastle disease] and [Infectious Bursal Disease] epidemics,” he said."

Infectious Bronchitis 793B strain is detected in the UK laying flocks

Lohmann Animal Health launch the first monovalent live Salmonella vaccine Avipro Enteritidis and Avipro Typhimurium – Rosehill and Lohmann hold a series of roadshows on salmonella control through the country.

2019

Rosehill joins the world wide web

Rosehill commissioned their first-ever website, helping their customers on the farm, in the pharmacy and online.
